Lifting the restrictions on entering the Russian Federation.
In accordance with the order of the Government of the Russian Federation dated October 10, 2020 No. 2649-r restrictions on entering the territory of the Russian Federation are lifted for citizens of another three countries, including Japan (from November, 1).
- Japanese citizens can enter the Russian Federation, but from Japan only through air checkpoints across the state border of the Russian Federation.
- Foreign citizens, having an official document confirming their permanent residence in Japan, can enter the Russian Federation, but from Japan only through air checkpoints across the state border of the Russian Federation.
The Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Osaka fully resumes issuing visas from 21 October 2020.
Please note that foreign citizens can apply for a Russian visa in Japan, only if an official document confirming their permanent residence in Japan is provided.
